Yin Yoga

This meditative practice invites stillness and deep release through long-held, passive floor poses that target the fascia, joints, and energetic pathways of the body. Rooted in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and yogic philosophy, each class offers space to slow down, turn inward, and explore themes that support emotional balance and inner awareness. With an emphasis on mindful presence and gentle breath, Yin Yoga is a nourishing complement to more active practices and a powerful tool for restoration and insight.

Private Yoga Class (60 mins)

Private classes are aimed towards students of all levels and ages. Whether you are a beginner or dealing with certain injuries or health conditions or simply don’t have time to attend public classes and you’d like to receive personalized instruction, then the private lessons are ideal for you. The focus of the classes depends on your needs and your intention.

If you're newer to yoga, there will be an emphasis on the breath and the optimal alignment of your body within each pose. If you're more experienced and you want to deepen and refine your practice, more challenging poses can be explored to create greater clarity on the technique and the key actions necessary. If you're dealing with injuries or health conditions, the focus will be on how you can regain mobility and strength in that area of your body as well as work in a holistic way so that the healing process can accelerate. 

At the end of each session I offer a few suggestions to each student to practice between our sessions together. This helps you to consistently create optimal physical movement patterns, and to cultivate a strong physical body that fully supports your in your practice and daily life. 

I offer classes on Anusara Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Therapeutics, Yin Yoga, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. All of my classes explore the principles of optimal alignment and, depending on your needs, interests  and level, different practices of Yoga can be explored,  such as mantra, mudra, pranayama and meditation techniques.

All my classes are taught either in person or via Zoom/Skype.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa literally means 'arrangement' or 'putting together'. These classes are designed with several poses put together in a sequence, preparing and building up towards an apex pose. The benefits include increasing strength, stamina, flexibility, balance and conscious use of the breath.

Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra

This class offers a grounding blend of traditional Hatha yoga and the deep rest of Yoga Nidra. Begin with slow, intentional movement and breath-centered asana to cultivate strength, flexibility, and mindful awareness. Then transition into the guided practice of Yoga Nidra—a systematic method of deep relaxation and inner healing. Drawing on themes from the yoga tradition, this class is designed to balance body and mind, and to support nervous system regulation, inner clarity, and profound rest.

The 9 Gates to Freedom

The 9 Gates to Freedom

Turn each obstacle into a doorway to deeper practice and self-discovery.

As we step into a new month and the season of autumn, nature itself reminds us to slow down, release, and refocus.

It’s the perfect time to look inward and recommit to the practices that support our growth.

In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali describes the 9 Antarayas — the obstacles that arise in our practice and disturbs our ability to stay consistent and disciplined. These obstacles can also interfere with any path or intention that we choose to pursue, that requires discipline, dedication and focus.

  • Illness or Disease
  • Mental Laziness or Apathy
  • Doubt
  • Carelessness or Negligence
  • Laziness or Lack of Energy
  • Overindulgence/Sensory Attachment
  • False Perception
  • Non-attainment of a Stage
  • Instability/Backsliding

Starting this Monday at 7.00-07.30 (BST), we’ll be exploring each of these obstacles and different ways to overcome them.

Each of the practices will be live-streamed but if you are unable to attend at that time, I will be sending you the recording soon after the class.

Along with the 9 live streaming practices you will be receiving daily journaling prompts for each obstacle and 3 pre-recorded practices that can be added onto your daily physical practice or practiced later in your day. These practices will be focusing on helping you build courage and resilience to overcome any of the 9 obstacles.

This 9 Gates to Freedom Challenge will help you:

  • Recognize the obstacles that quietly derail your focus.
  • Work with simple yogic tools — movement, breath, mantra, meditation and reflection — to move through them.
  • Build clarity, steadiness, and resilience for the months ahead.

By the end of these 9 days, you’ll see that the obstacles themselves are not barriers — they are powerful teachers and invitations to strengthen your path.
